We have a sow whos 8 months and a boar who is 4 1/2. Hes a small boar so there is not much size difference. They get on really well and we have tried them in the same cage and they get on great. The questions is:
Is the boar, at 4 1/2 to old to get her pregnant?
(we really dont want to have to get him the snip!)
please help?
Thanks.

i think they can get pregnant around 5 weeks old, but i am no expert i have just seen people write it

I don't think there is a 'menapause' at any point in a guineas life females are fertile form 6 weeks i think and males are from 3 weeks.

Your boar is still able to get your sow pregnant. Putting them in the same cage for however short a time is putting your girl at risk.
Your boar is probably too old for neutering so if you want him to have a cage mate then it is best to take him to a rescue so he can choose a male friend. :)

Thank you so much. I'm so grateful for your answers. Sarah will just have to be solitary as she cant live with the sows as shes so aggressive with them. oh well, they can just admire each other from afar!
Thank you again :)
