I'm so unhappy about my pigs. they all got along up until about 2 days ago. george just started bullying and causing trouble out of nowhere. when he's relaxed they get along, when he's fired up they fight. I'm really hoping this is a passing hormonal phase, but I'm not sure. it's gotten to the point where they either need to be supervised or seperated. my poor piglet has bites all over his back and it just kills me. ive been cleaning his boo boos twice a day and putting ointment on them, and keeping a close eye in case we need to see the vet. I'm just praying this is a passing phase. I'm so upset i dont know what to do with them anymore :(

Oh love i was hoping things had settled down :(

Can you make it a larger space for them, so Piglet can get away more from George?

HUGS FOR YOU XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

i dont know how i can, the cage they're in is big, and even in free range time george still chases the other two...he really does just instigate things. right now when he's seperated we take the frame of a smaller cage that fits perfectly inside the big one and keep him in that (with his own food and water and pigloo) so that he can be seperate but still close to them. it has been slightly better today, so I'm reallly hoping that george figures his issues out and things can get back to normal. I'm still worried about piglet's bites, though. ive been meticulously watching and caring for them so at the first sign of infection he's off to the vet's. I'm just hoping that doesn't happen.

yes actually, that's actually my long-term plan, once piglet's bites heal so i can give him a bath. i reeeaally hope thing's get back to normal. they're all so sweet, i hate seeing them fight. i wont get rid of george though. he's my pig and i dont trust people enough to rehom him. i'll do whatever i can to make sure all 3 are happy no matter what.

I know you will love xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>

I suppose you might have to have George as a lone piggy living next door to the boys and then maybe some supervised playtime if it just doesn't work out....... :{
Our boys fought and we had to separate them, i had their house divided with a mesh divider, they used to sit there a big part of the day beside each other happily chatting away..... then they had supervised playtime together. Duke used to hump poor Sully :x

Unfortunatly this is often the outcome with boar trios. It is also very unlikely they will live happily once blood has been drawn. If allowed piggies will fight to the dealth. Please seek vets attention for the bites as he will likely need a course of antibiotics to stop them getting infected. Please try any reintroductions on neuteral terratory and make sure the cage is thororughly cleaned before replacing any pigs.
