Really sad and unexpected...

Just thought i'd see if you guys can shed any light on why this may of happened.
The guinea pig in my other thread was sharing a hutch her friend. I got home this afternoon and she was in labour. She had already given birth to two very premature babies. They didnt have hair or anything. She had 3 in total.
I didnt know she was pregnant.
I just dont understand why its happened? Does anyone know what could of caused this? She wasnt stressed and she is not suffering from the skin mites that her room mate has.
 
I am very sorry - that must have been sooo upsetting!

How long have you had them and where did you get them from?
 
Only a few weeks, she didnt look pregnant, didnt have a belly or anything. Got her from a lady advertising in the paper.
 
pssst....George...just thought id point out this thread is 6 months old!
i just typed out a long reply about my similar experience a few weeks back but then realised the date...oops!
