Hey guys, I have a piggy called Morgan I've had him 2 years, the past 2 days he's been unwell but still eating and drinking. Last night he had a small fit and this morning he was whimpering in his cage so I got him out for a cuddle before work.... But I think it was goodbye I really don't think he will last the day :( and I can't be there with him! He is far too young to go now and I'm blaming myself ...... :'(

Can some one take him to the vet for you ? If not can you make vets appointment for after work?

I'm so sorry, I hope Morgan doesn't take a turn for the worst. Please try to get him to the vet asap.
xx

Unfortunately no one can take him and I'm in work until 4 ... He's not eating or drinking and is very limp I have rang 4 vets and they are all busy or shut after 4 :( but I don't think he will last til 4 x

Please take him to the vet ASAP! Try your best and take the day off work! Morgan says - Please help me and take me to the vets! ... Do what your little piggie asks you to do! :)

tell the vets it's an emergency and they should let you take him straight in. this is his life and he's not been well for two whole days now. please don't delay and take him in. good luck. x

I am trying to get an appointment for 11 so I can take him during my lunch hour! I can't lose my job how am I supposed to pay vet bills and look after my other piggy :( I have a bank balance in the minuses and I am 12000 in debt

Poor pigge, I agree that he needs to go to the vet, if only to be put to sleep kindly and spare him suffering/lingering over the next few hours/days. Or hopefully your vet can help him and save his life. There will be an emergency vets service somewhere near you, if you ring your usual vet then they will give you details. I understand that you have work, but sometimes you need to use your annual leave or even take unpaid leave to take a sick animal to the vets. Good luck.

edited to say, Oh I am sorry to read that you have financial problems, these things always come at the wrong time dont they. when you are over this distressing episode, you need to try to have a vet fund for emergencies. Even so, he does need vet treatment of some kind asap.

I would never ever encourage someone to go into debt, but then when there is a need for urgent vet care, I'm not sure what to suggest as you cant leave sick little piggies :(

I am doing my best I have tried to renew a loan but have been rejected... I am trying to get leave from work but my boss is not the nicest .... And I thought he was picking up yesterday to as he gained 100grams :'(

Sorry to hear about him... So are the vets avaliable at 11? Did your boss say no? If so then tell him it is an emergency and you need to go now! explain that your piggie is going to die if you don't take him now!

I don't have an appointment I'm trying to phone a vet in Bolton they provide free consultation also which helps me financially and he is jus not responding I've text homefor an update on my piggy also x

I'm taking half day off work ... Told my boss of he don't like he can stick the job (word to rude to type where the piggies can see ) ...... I'm so angry at him x

If piggy not eating or drinking can you syringe feed him water and food until you get him to vets? Hope he's well soon x

I tired to syringe feed he jus spits it out he was eating up until 11pm lasts night on his own veg and soften pellets and a bit of hay but this morning nothing x

Oh I am so sorry. I have always worked in places where a vet emergency or boiler breaking down or roof leaking etc is allowed unpaid time off. How horrible for you to have to worry about work as well as your piggie. Good luck x

My boss is new and trying to show off .... But yoo will be happy to know I have jus insured my other piggy so finance issues won't be a problem with him x

Where about in Manchester are you? North I'm assuming as you mentioned Bolton, but if you can make it would be worth tying to et an emergency appointment at Ashleigh Vets in Whalley Range, they have an excellent exotics team. Many of us in Mank use them for our piggies. Sorry to hear your piggy is unwell, fingers crossed you can have him looked at today x

I'm 20 mins from the centre of Manchester and in 30 mins I'm going home to see my piggy and get him ready for the drive x

Okay so has he been to the vets already? Lol so eager to know! Is he okay? what was his problem? So many questions : )

Completely understand your dilemma with work, I am lucky that my manager knows my pigs are like my children and lets me go when I need to but he is stepping down soon and I will have a new manager and so have no idea what they will be like. The OH's work is flexible though so he can always go if needed but he doesn't drive.

Keeping everything crossed that you get him to the vets on time. Is this the same pig who was ill a few months ago?

none of the vets at ashleigh vets are off, so you have aidan, michelle and shiva available to see.

i know it's hard with money and work. it's just if you lost him, i think the regret would really hit once you're grieving and it's not nice to feel.

good luck x
