Adult Guinea Pig
Last night I had a friend round for dinner and after they'd left decided to watch tv with the piggies for a bit.
Freddie and I were curled, snuggled up with a blanket round us, on the sofa.
He was chirruping in my arms with his head cuddled into the blanket... but after a while I realised he'd gone to sleep.
I just felt so touched that this little animal - who thinks goodness knows what about why I'm in his life - would feel safe enough with me to let his guard down so much so that he could snooze confidently in my arms.
Tiny Freddie didn't even flinch when I ran my fingers along his peaceful little body.
Awwwwwwwwwwww, I was quite moved

that made my hairs stand on end - fantastic feeling when they know they can trust you x) I'm working slowly on my trio of new girls who were kept outside, no human contact and food just tossed in the hutch etc. So sad 
They are learning to recognise things though and one knows my voice so hopefully, the others will realise that their old way of life is history :...
