Really upset, I think Oreo has a respiratory infection?

I went to feed the guinea pigs and bring them in from their runs about two hours ago and Oreo was all hunched up with his fur sticking up and he seems to be struggling to breathe, his nostrils are opening really wide and he's opening his mouth a lot and his sides are heaving. He also seems quite distressed when handled and when I put him down he threw his back legs out and stayed that way for a few minutes. This has come on very, very quickly as I checked them earlier and he was fine. I'm taking him to the vet first thing in the morning and I've bought him in the house. Really upset because this is all very sudden 8...
 
Take him to the E-VET, he needs treatment now. It could make all the difference. I know it's upsetting and I'm not being nasty in anyway, but I do think from your description he needs to be seen sooner than first thing.

Please take him to the vet right now! He needs treatment immediatly, he sounds like his in respiratory distress and really struggling to breath. He needs to see a vet urgently! Please take him. Sorry to worry you. I hope hes ok and you get some treatment. Good luck with him and let us know how you get on.

aw i'm sorry to hear that :( but i agree, he needs to see a vet straight away as it does sound like it could be serious. good luck x

Oreo's gone, I don't know what to say...
it was the hardest vet trip I've ever had, a really hard decision, but I decided
:( to end his suffering. He had pneumonia and was deteriorating even in the car 8...

I don't know why it happened, I'm so shocked and upset and I can't stop crying and shaking

Sorry Oreo didn't make it...That must have been a hard chose to make..But probably the best for Oreo...Now my Sandy will have a playmate in the rainbow in the sky...R.i.p Oreo
 
I am so sorry to hear about little Oreo. RIP little sweetie. I really feel for you losing him so suddenly but you did everything you could for him and he will have known.
 
Am so sorry its a hard decision, he is now rumblestrutting in the sky and popcorning around with no wheezing. xx
 
Seem to be a lot of URIs about at the moment ,so sorry to here the sad news.
 
I'm so sorry for your loss. Poor little Oreo... rest in peace little man!
