Hello
Peaches is now able to meet the girls again today and right now they have met for the first time. Peaches is rumble strutting and and sniffing their bums but nothing else. Is that normal? Does anyone have any tips about rebonding? The girls are also weeing or urinating a lot but I don't know if that is anything to do with it.
Thanks

Rumblestrutting, mounting and chasing etc. are part for the course as Peaches and his new girls bond and establish a new hierarchy. It is going to be lieveliest when the girls come into season; otherwise he will be firmly told off. Bum sniffing gives Peaches an idea to whether a sow is about to come into season or not.

Sows pee at the boars to fend them off - literally. Boars pee testosterone-laden pee at the sows to mark them as theirs.

Thank you. I will have a look at the links you gave me. So Peaches was giving the right sort of attitude.

Yes, he was interested, but not dominant or aggressive, and the girls are obviously not too fussed about him. Please be aware that once you commit to a full bonding, you have to sit it out in one go as much as possible unless there are fights and you have to give your piggies time to work through the dominance.
Keep out any hideys with just one exit until the dust has settled, so no sow can feel cornered when she is hotly pursued.
