Junior Guinea Pig
Hi everyone,
My boar Dave was castrated two weeks ago and is now eating, drinking and pooping normally, but making a pain-type noise I think when producing 'special poops' aka the caecotroph poops that they eat. Has anyone heard of this happening with another pig? Normal poops do not appear to cause him pain.
His op was done abdominally, the vet went in via the abdomen rather than scrotally. I have to say I am a little suspicious about this, although the vet is really great and very knowledgeable about pigs. They have recently changed the way they do gp neutering to abdominally as they say there is less likelihood of the wound getting infected.
Thanks for reading
