Hi,
Does anyone know where i can get some recipes for making my own treats? I saw a website once but cannot find it again and i searched on google, but all it kept coming up with was how to cook my guinea pig which was horrible!

I have all the ingrediants from Galens Garden and it has some good recipes O0

:) Have you made the cookies yet Shaz? Its so nice seeing them eat something I made :) and they don't complain about the black bits LOL!

Has anyone got recipes for like those seed and nut sort of sticks you see in pet stores. They love them but 1. they are so expensive, especially at the rate they eat them, 2. they are not that good for them.

I suppose instead of making cookies i could make like a bar and hang it from there cage?

The cookies can be made in any shape and more importantly they're nutritionslly correct. The seed and honey bars are bad news for guineas being high in sugars and low in fibre. Fresh treats are best, or the Cookies as they have been selected for their nutritional balance.

:) Sorry to poop on the party but I wouldn't give them to my pigs. Honey is sugar, they also add sugar and milk can cause problems too. :-\

Galens gardens cookies go down a treat mine loved all the carrot and coriander, hedgerow herbs an alfalfa and apple, theres no added sugars, honey, milk, egg or any of those nasty ingredients pampered piggies now does smaller packs which come with full instructions and cookie cutters.
So you can try them with out it costing you a fortune! bigger sizes coming soon as they are selling fast! O0

I bought some of the carrot and coriander cookies from you the other day, so am going to try them soon!
Oh and the free alfalfa biscuits from molly went down a treat! they loved them!
