Looking for a recommendation for a single storey hutch for outside in the better weather please. Will be for a single pig so 4ft? He will have access to outside space too.
Thank you, I will have a look at Pets Corner.Yes 4ft is the minimum size for a single piggy.
Basically, when it comes to hutches you get what you pay for - it’s worth spending a little more to get a good quality hutch with solid wood. I have a 6ft hutch that has been outside for 8 years and is still in excellent condition. I got it from Pets Corner and it cost almost £200. In contrast, i have a pets at home bluebell for £99. It was always kept in a shed for the piggies so i didn’t spend loads as it was never meant to be exposed to the weather. However, after some new additions and a change round, that hutch is now outside and has been since august - it isn’t fairing well despite being covered!
Chartwell hutches are well recommended (and may end up being what I replace my bluebell with).
Thank you, our girls are in a Trixie hutch which moves in and out and seems to be doing ok, although I can't get a cover for it as they have been discontinued. I was looking at the Chartwell and thought they looked good quality. I'm not generally keen on pets at home for anything!Yes 4ft is the minimum size for a single piggy.

If you are, go into the shop as they are not on the website. I've just got their 5ft two level hutch (spilt to two separate hutches) it measures up as 4'6".Thank you, I will have a look at Pets Corner.
Me again, sorry another question!
The single hutches appear to have integrated legs to lift the hutch away from the floor, is the gap underneath big enough for a piggle to get underneath? Would I need to block it off some how?
