Really glad to see Tyrone looking better and being interested in his lady neighbours! What a relief for you.
I am at the vet today so you never know, I may bump into you. The vets have been on the exotics conference and so appointments are a bit like gold dust this week as they catch up. Let us know what the vet thinks about his wound.

Mark is very thorough. I also like Kyle who is based at Strensall and sometimes covers for Mark. The nurses at the practice are lovely too. All the best for tomorrow.
Everyone has been fantastic with him and I took him to the Norton one too. He has had another chew this morrning. Hopefully Mark will be able to tell me why he is going at it his man bits x x

Thanks Laura he is back to his cheeky self and the op site and hole has nearly healed but the monkey is still having a chew at his man bits. I am there at 6pm hopefully our paths will cross x x

Mark was brilliant with Tyrone. Another 5 days of antibiotics and pain relief. He gave him a clean down there and said he thinks he is biting his man bits as there were some hairs stuck down between his pens irritating him. He goes back in Friday x x

It's good that Mark has been able to spot the problem causing Tyrone to chew. I think Mark is willing to really get involved with guinea pig illnesses. He is also excellent at doing neat stitches following surgery. Good luck for next Friday.

Glad you had a good check up at vets with Tyrone. T looked full of beans when I saw him. And glad I got to give Tyrone a head stroke in the car park:yahoo:

Thank you ladies he is going from strength to strength. Brought him home tonight and put him next to the girls. ... popcorns from them all. It's really quite a sight.

Yes Mark was very good. He said as he has been on antibiotics a long time now so if I see any diarrhea to stop them straight away.

i'm sure Tyrone enjoyed his head rub as much as you did and I am glad all is well with Bumble x x

fortunatley,it has been 4 weeks since all boys were neutered, running around as if nothing happened.Wounds are healing well.the stress for you must be hard.ive two foster boys that I'm going to get neutered and look after them post op.i have had a lot of experience with neutering, and dealt with abcesses.you will have had a steep learning curve.xx

That's fab they have done so well and you too. Good luck to your new boys.
It was more the guilt when the vet said there was a chance he might not make it and I thought it was all my fault making him go through it. I had a crash course in syringe feeding and wound cleaning. I feel like an expert now x x

My boy made it :yahoo:

He has been discharged. I still have to keep my eye on it and bless him, his man parts are bit disfigured. The vet said he could have reconstructive surgery but I said no way unless it was effecting him health wise.
All that chewing because of a blooming hair. Thanks for the finger crossing it certainly worked. Now two weeks until he can go in with the girls. Let the bonding begin x x x:luv:
