My Pippin somehow managed to fracture her pelvis. Our vet, who is cavy-savvy, gave her pain medication and gut motility meds to get her back on track. She is now eating eliminating normally, which is to say a lot. The issue here is that since she's confined to bedrest, she can't groom herself and can't scoot away from her mess.In short, she's really mucky. I've been both spot-cleaning her with a warm cloth and letting her soak in warm water for a few minutes to try and clean her up. This works, but it seems to upset her, and stressing her is the last thing I want to do.

Does anyone know of a way I can clean her without bothering her?

There is unfortunately no better way; you are already doing it as gently as possible. any movement and handling is unfortunately very painful for her. :(

I agree with Wiebke, not a good idea to bathe her, you could do more harm than good, what about putting something absorbent under her bottom then change it every hour or two. I know it will be a bind but it might save her laying in her own Toliet. Is she moving any better now?
