Timmy has surgery for a bladder stone at the beginning of October. He is going on seven years old and we were scared that the anesthesia might have done him in. We decided to opt for the surgery and accepted that we might have been saying goodbye. He survived the surgery. They didn’t actually find the stone. He could have peed it out… wow… 2k to discover that he is the world’s most resilient pisser. Either way the flushed out calcium buildup and administered medication along with the meds they sent him home with. Aside from a healing wound on his stomach he is not worse for wear and is basically moving around like normal. We can tell he is getting a little older, losing half an ounce or so but I’m impressed with him. Golden Boy! I’m proud of him keeping on though I’m sure he misses his little brother (rainbow gizmo ❤️). Just wanted to post him telling him that i’m proud of him 😊

What a lovely piggy. I’m so pleased he’s recovered so well from the surgery.

Aw Timmy, what an amazing little man you are :luv: So pleased for you and him he did so well, he’s gorgeous  I love older piggies!
My previous piggy Jess (right on my avatar) wasn’t far off 7 when she had to have her eye removed due to an injury (her cagemate Luigi most likely stabbing her in it with his nail 🙈) but she totally kicked butt and lived another year and a bit! She may have been a bit slower to recover but she didn’t let it stop her!
Hope Timmy carries on being such a little fighter and heals well after his bladder flush, and feels better too now that nasty stuff’s gone! :)

Jess looked like such a sweetie. I notice Timmy getting a lot older as well, no longer so quick to stand on his hind legs but moving pooping and eating is the most important. I love an older pig too even though I always feel so sentimental about their age, wish they lived 15 years on average xx

Thank you. She was the loveliest girl, do miss her. She had one eye, was completely deaf, had no wheek and arthritis in her spine but she was so happy, a big groomer so she’d lick humans and pigs like mad!
Aw bless him, Jess was on metacam daily for her arthritis and it definitely livened her up a bit when starting that! In between her extra long snoozes and scoffs like these oldies do!
Yeah I agree, definitely don’t live for long enough these lovely piggies. Hope Timmy has lots more happy times with you, it sounds like he has the best life and is so well cared for and loved :luv::hug:x
