Recurring bald patches..please help

Hi,

I haven't been on for a while. But I have a problem. Gertie keeps getting bald pacthes under her chin. I have had her to the vets quite a few times. The first vet prescribed an antibacteral/antifungal cream. The condition cleared up.

The next time I went the vet said it could be mites, which I sincerely doubt, but I kept her treatment up.

I have a sneaking suspicion it was fungal. But I don't know how to prevent it. She has started again going bald under her chin.:{:(
 
Sorry to hear it keeps recurring. Have you tried bathing her as per regular anti-fungal treatments? (Weekly baths for 2-3 weeks, and allow each shampoo to soak in for 5 minutes.)
 
I find Nizoral (from the chemist; in a pink box ) to be effective in many cases. :)
