Red crusty eye

My guinea pig lily has a very sore looking crusty eye she has had something similar to this before however it was smaller and disappeared after a few days. I was wondering if anyone has anyone ever experienced anything like it and if I should take her to the vets. It doesn’t seem to be bothering her and she is her usual self still sqeeking for food and eating hay and drinking water. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated thank you.

Yes that is sore looking, she really needs to see a vet ASAP. Eye injuries can be really serious.
Hope she is ok.

Please take her to the vets ASAP! That looks very sorry and needs immediate attention. Eye injuries are never to ge taken lightly.

Please be aware that eye injuries can deteriorate very quickly (more than visible to the naked eye). Waiting too long with an eye injury or infection can cost a piggy its eye while recovery with prompt treatment is usually fairly straight forward.
 
She has had something similar before and it fell off but I’m really worried now but the vet isn’t open until tomorrow
