Red ear... What could this be?

Just noticed today that one of dave's ears is red
On outside and feels a lot warmer than the other ear which is not red or warm. Ive looked inside but I don't know what I'm looking for. His skin is black inside his ear- I don't know if that is an infection or his skin colour. The colour in normal ear is same as his body.

Does anyone know what this is and if I can treat it or if I should go the vets first thing tomorrow?

P.s he is still eating and drinking and pooping normally. Also weight is normal. Thanks for your help x
 
He may be a little hot? My White piggies ears go red after they've beenrunning about :))
 
Guinea pigs regulate their body temperature with the blood flow through his ears. He may just be a bit warm?
