Hi All,

I've just come back from P@H I went for Herbage as I've run out but they had none! So didn't buy anything! :D However I checked on their pigs, there wasn't many girls left but they had plenty of boys some where gorgeous and I felt so bad for them! :( However, one had a damaged ear, it was very red and had no fur, I know Pigs don't have much fur going on in that area but all my pigs have dark eyes this was red!

So I want to contact head office (told the girl who said he was fine >:() Would this be caused by mites or fighting? Just want to make sure I sound knowledgable! ;)

Thanks!

Louise

Quite possibly damage from fighting, boars do tend to go for the face, ears and neck.

Just a note to say that my Bully's ears are pink but when he gets cross or excitable they go bright red!

Thanks for that! The pen was quite big with them in but they were overcrowded about 15 pigs altogether! It was defo red from something and not natural. :)

Which P@H was this louise? Feel a bit dissappointed, the stores round here are usually pretty good :( x

Hi Emma,

It was St Helens, usually they are good. I got Twinkle and Cuzzy from there. I've contacted head office to let them know. I've no problems with head office but some of the staff don't have a clue!

I did have to laugh though there were 3 guineas sitting in an igloo they all looked so adorable. I had to smack myself and say no, no, no, rescues only! The sad thing is as well they all looked like they needed a good feed, either they were very young or underweight. :(

Aw, it makes you want to buy them all! I was in there the other day, they had some piggies which looked like shelties, they were gorgeos and defo not underweight, little chubsters! But i was a bit concerned bacause the door to their multistory cage was open and the pigs could have easily feel off the side from quite high up :( i know guinea pigs aren't stupid but i thought it was dangerous especially since they are babies! I was in a rush so i didn't mention it to the staff but if i see it again i will. x

when i bought star he had really chewed ears, this is why my little girl chose him. poor boy, must of been really picked on.
