My guinea pig’s white of the eye is red and slightly puffy. I will attach a picture below. Due to the recent snowstorms I haven’t been able to replace their fleece for the past couple of weeks. However I have still done their daily cleans and picked up the poop. I’m worried that the may have gotten sick.

I don't know. Hope somebody answers soon who knows, but most members are in the UK and it isn't even 8am there yet.

When in doubt a trip to the vet is never a bad idea.

It looks like the eyelid rather than her eye?
Either way, any swelling needs to be checked by a vet
I hope she is ok

Hi

With a little luck it is just 'fatty eye' or 'pea' eye with the tension in the lower lid easing a little, gravity taking over and the lid falling away and exposing what looks to me healthy conjunctiva. It is a somewhat unsightly but harmless quirk of the normal ageing process and not reversible.

Anyway, there don't seem be any signs of real swelling and no sign of pushed out of tear glands (look like tiny little purple broccolis) to me. Pushed out tear glands are usually the indicator for any swelling of the conjunctiva, the connective tissue around the eye, for me.
The colour of the conjunctiva can vary a little depending on the breed but it should never be reddish/dark pink.

Please see a vet for confirmation since I can only guess from your picture but you can do that during normal opening hours at your convenience. It is not an emergency.
