I hate that so many red eyed pigs are looked over simply for having red eyes,
Personally I find this quality endearing but a lot of ppl don't and it's sad, I mean a pig can't help if he/she is born with red eyes anyway sorry I had to vent because I find this a really common thing that ppl refuse to get red eyed pigs and I simply find it ridiculous.

I've got a couple of red eyed lovelies. I honestly never even realised it was a problem with rescues till recently, as I've had lots of red eyes piggies over the years.

I prefer red eyes, most of my syrian hamsters have been red eyed, but thats just me. but i also love black cats aswell, which also tend to be looked over by people wanting something cute and cuddly

I didn't realise it was a problem either, until I had Guiness (free to a good home because they didn't like the look of him - Ginger & white with red eyes!) - needless to say
he was my special boy who got extra love to make him realise that he was special - now I would go out of my way to pick the runt of the litter or the unwanted piggy- red eyes LUV THEM

I like too call them little devil animals!
(Of course absolutely not in a mean way!) it's just my silly little name for them! Hehe!

One of my pigs has red eyes, but they are very dark and are only red in certain lights! They always look black in pictures!

I love bright red eyed piggies! (And other animals of course)

They defiantly should not be overlooked!

I was in pets in hell yesterday because my friend wanted to buy a bigger rabbit cage and I asked the lady working there if the red eyed rabbits and guinea pigs are harder to sell and she said they sadly were.

So sad to me as they are my favourite. :(

I've had 3 red eye / pink eye piggies. Sadly they have all past now but they were all cuties.

I would never turn an animal down because of their eye colour!

Sadly it does go for all animals.

I also had a white gerbil with pink eyes and a brown gerbil with pink eyes. Sadly they have past too.

One of my current gerbils is beige with pink eyes.

The same goes for black cats and guess what? I have a black cat...

It shouldn't matter what colour, breed etc an animal is. They all deserve a loving home but sadly there are too many shallow people around :(

My gerbils had red eyes too, they were lovely and I didn't even realise eye colour was an issue until I got my piggies and found one why they had been overlooked. So sad.

Jack my avatar is a pink eye, it was clear no one was going to take him, so I adopted him. He was my first pink eyed but love him to bits, he has the biggest pigsonality I have ever come across. Love him x

When I was trying to find a friend for Ryou I asked all the rescues I went to if they had red eyed piggies in need of homes. Sadly the only ones who did were boys and I needed a girl.

It really shouldn't matter! Although I probably wouldn't choose a red eye, I would never turn one down, if it needed a home or it was the 'right' piggie, if that makes sense!

I never choose a dog by it's breed or sex!

We have a black cat, but I've never understood it? I thought they were lucky? You get black cats on Good Luck cards?

Aw lovely red eyes!

Tetley pot had red eyes when he stepped into certain lights and I was told that he was overlooked because of this!

It's the personality that captures the heart :)

Strange i know but I didn't give my fudges red eyes a second thought, I noticed them when I first brought him home but that was it until wiebke replied to a post of mine about fudge often having half closed eyes and she said it may be due to his eyes colour making him a bit more sensitive to the light.
I would happily have a red eyed piggy again, clearly it doesn't faze me :)
