Hello again.

My guinea pig Pumpkin has hot and red feet. The redness goes away after applying pressure. It could be red and inflamed feet but i'm am still unsure.

Sorry for posting a lot, its just that my spoiled piggies are unhealthy/giving me scary times.

Thanks if you read this xx.

Hi,

My piggie usually gets a red foot if she has been sleeping in her urine. This normally goes away once she has started running around! Also keep an eye on it just to make sure it doesn't peel the skin, if this occurs see a vet.

Thanks a ton!
I will keep and eye on her (both of my pigs)

The image isn't very clear but she does have dry and hot red feet15546274483111580828760.webp

That looks normal to me, but if you think that something is not right or the colour has changed then get a check-up at the vet. Without actually seeing your pigs it is hard to say what is right for them but a vet should be able to put your mind at ease. It doesn't cost much for a check up, my vet charged about £15 for a check and a few nails trimmed last time I went, even though I brought all of them with the piggie I wanted checked, and he had a quick look at them all :)

I have merged your two threads. Please keep all queries about the same issue to one thread so that all advice is in one place and so that members offering help can see what has already happened/been suggested.

The photo you have posted looks completely normal to me
