This must be the night for guinea pig games! It's the first time Red ever played with me deliberately. I was putting up the lawnmower key and decided to dangle it in Red's cage. It is a very small, lightweight key with a plastic top and strung on a lanyard. It surprised the heck out of me when Red ran over, grabbed the key and lanyard and started shaking them back and forth like a dog would. He tugged the key away from me. He started chewing the key top, so I took it away. He popcorned a bit and then ran away. A bit later I dangled the key again, and he ran over again and repeated the scenario. We did this for about 10 minutes until he went and hid in the pigloo. It was so endearing, I am sorry I don't have a video or pix to show. But he obviously is growing mentally and perceptually as well as physically. I'm still smiling.

I put his old toys back into his cage and this time he is showing interest in them (a cardboard tube and a round cage toy with a bell inside) and pushing them around.
 
Aww how cute. I bet he is so thankful to have this fun new life with you now. He's very blessed.
 
Awww Red! Everytime I read something new about him and his progress my heart melts :) I think he is an absolute credit to your wonderful care :)
 
Awww, he is such a cutie pie. How adorable, him playing games with you. :)

hey Pat he's becoming more vocal and interacting with you YAY ! x)

my girls they love home made toys........ nothing better than some cardboard.........tho my girls have a special toy (thanks to Clare xx>>>) it's their pink stripey sock toy and they nudge her around their house... :(|)
