I’ve just noticed this patch on Wilburs testicles. It seems to have lost hair. He doesn’t seem to be in pain with it.
Any ideas what it may be will be greatly recieved! Thanks :)

Hi!

Please have it vet checked.

It could be urine scald from sitting in his own pee and rubbing that spot because of his favourite sleeping position but you also want to have the testicle checked to be on the safe side.

Please do NOT cream thickly with sudocrem or any similar nappy product. Keep the area regularly cleaned by gently dabbing with baby warm plain water to heal on it own. If necessary as ask your vet for a silver sulfadiazine based product (like flamazine) if you want a suitable cream always very thinly.

We are booked to see an exotic vet at 2pm! Better safe than sorry 🥰

How did you get on and what did the vet say?
No concerns, they did a health check and he’s a healthy boy. He’s just caught it on something. It’s not directly on his testicle either, it’s the skin near it. He has some germ defence cream to be applied twice a day and we just have to work out where it’s come from but the vet said it may be a guessing game as it could be anything or nothing.
I’m edging towards the carpeting on their ramp or their plastic bottomed hide.
She also made a lovely comment about how when she returned Wilbur to the travel cage he wheeked at Bugzy & how bonded they are 😊.
