a lady has emailed me wanting to know what to do about her pig that has red poo.i told her to take to vet as have never had this before.any suggestions?
I would take the guinea to the vet too. Has she been feeding it beetroot or anything else that would cause the colour to change? Only thing I could think of, if it has blood in its stool it needs to see a vet asap.
thanks no not blood and not beetroot.she has taken him to the vet and guess what...colouring from the RED PAPER yes crepe paper he had been bedded on.shesh poor little pig.
Well, at least it wasn't a serious problem. Maybe someone should tell her that coloured crepe paper for piggies is not good stuff to bed them on.
One starts to wonder if the big had been eating blue paper if the poos turned blue too.....:{
