Red scaly feet

I have two 9 month old guinea pigs that i adopted 2 months ago and one has red flaky feet. I tried to treat it with a topical fungal foot cream as i thought that it was fungal but it is now flakey and red. they live on polar fleece that is spot cleaned twice a day and changed every two days. i was wondering what it is sand how i could treat it. Thanks!

It’s not easy to see from the pictures but if you have concerns, then please take them to the vet.
We don’t recommend any home treatments - seeking vet advice and prescribed treatment is always the best course of action

Hi and welcome

Please see a vet and do not home treat on spec; you can make things easily worse rather than better.

Have you considered that you may be using too much washing powder with your fleece?
