Red spot on bottom of foot?

I’ve noticed that Penny has a red spot on the back of her foot. I wish I could get a photo! But does anyone know what this could mean?

I know this is low quality, but it’s the foot on the left (I turned up the brightness so it’s easier to see)

Could be possible mild urine scald. Is she bedded on fleece type stuff?

Yes the bedding is fleece. As far as I know she doesn’t sit in the corners where she pees. Do I need to wash the fleece more often? I wash it every Friday

Do you wash fleece without softener and have towels under it

As long as it doesn't look like bumblefoot Guinea Lynx :: Pododermatitis I would presume it is redness from urine

Please get a vets check it it continues or gets worse

I only have pee pads under the fleece. For the softener i don’t think I use it. I’ll look at the guides now and I think I’ll schedule an appointment for the vet!

It’s definitely not bumblefoot so it must be from the urine

As long as what you are using is absorbent and locks the moisture away from the fleece to stop it from soaking back through and keeping the fleece damp.
It’s certainly worth a vet check if you are concerned. Better to go and it not be bumblefoot, then to leave it and it then becomes very clear that it is

I have left the vet a message and hopefully she will get back to me today to see if she wants me to bring Penny in.
I guess it’s a good sign that this red spot isn’t impacting Penny’s activity as she is still running around, eating, and drinking!

Vet said Penny has inflammation. She doesn’t know what caused it, but she gave me some cream/lotion that should heal her feet
She also told me to put extra fleece underneath the current one, so I did that
