My friends guinea pig has been on pregnancy watch because wegot 2 genders mixed up... The sow hasn't put on any weight in 3 weeks but my friendnoticed red spots on the blanket but she hasn't seen any scabs or fresh blood and we are wondering if this has anything to do with pregnancy because like on a dog, wehn girls are in season/heat they bleed from their privates? Please no rude comments as this was an accidental pregnancy! we did not mean to get the sow pregnant if she is

I would advise a vet visit either way, if it is related to pregnancy or a UTI.

Female guinea pigs do not have a heat cycle with visible bleeding like dogs do. That being said, I would still get it checked out as it could be a sign of a UTI or other health problem.
