. . . . he loves the cats. He won't talk to me, but he chatters at the cats incessantly, and if one does get up onto the ledge in front of his cage, through the wire he tries to bury his face in their fur. Maybe he needs some furry company, like another piggie? I don't neeeeeeeeed another, but for his sake. . . .
 
awww I'm sure he adores you Pat, youre his mummy and all piggies love their mummies! Especially when armed with a piece of cucumber :(|)
 
I am sure that he loves you - but if you came with piggy fur that would be even better. I would be looking for a little friend for him; thanks to your good care, he's well and ready for it.

You will just love the lively interaction and all the fun and mischief that two happy piggies can generate!
 
I'm sure he does love you lots - after all you bring him cucumber and lots of other yummies.

I think he's trying to say to his mummy that he wants more furry friends! :))

Sack of the guinea pig, go for the costume and post lots of photos. Red will definitely be your best friend for life then ... :(|)
 
I soo want to get the costume for my friend's baby who is due in the next few weeks but not sure she would get it!

I'm sure you could get into it Pat :)
 
haha! Sorry, I don't have any funny links to share but do get a friend for Red. He loves you but guineas love other guineas as well! You will all be the same family but with another guinea!!
 
Red really needs a friend. Guinea pigs are sociable animals and need another guinea pig. It is sad to keep one alone as they get very lonely. You should get him a friend and see how happy he is.
 
Ive got a hat like that but its a donkey.lol Mum bought it for me so I could make the kids laff at work.lol

Some pigs are just not good at showing gratitude... My old Bertie CLEARLY favoured his Daddy and yet, I was the one who fed him, changed his cage, changed his water, bought the supplies, took him to the vets (cos daddy is too squeamish), etc, etc... Cheeky pigs!

On the other hand, I have had a guinea in the past who was best pals with the dog!

OH dear Pat........... well you do what you can for both of you :)

and i'm sure he loves you, he's just interacting with his other furry mates :))

Oh, my, this thread is taking a direction I neither anticipated nor expected. . . . Sorry to disappoint, folks, but I don't think I will be buying a guinea pig suit. . . . my rump is so large I'd have to get a water buffalo costume. . . . :laluot_23:

No objections to the hijack, I sorely NEEDED the laughs.
 
damn... we could have done with some laughs too... I guess some members might buy some anyway (for themselves) so we'll have pics, I 'm sure!:))

Aww I'm sure he does love you but perhaps he realised you don't speak guinea pig.

I would take it as a hint that he would like a piggy friend.

Not for the lack of trying. I've tried the whistles and squeaks but he just looks at me like I'm some sort of old machinery making noises. I might have to find him a friend, though, as the wistful looks he gives when the cats walk by are tugging at me. I just wish he could understand that it adds a burden to the food god.. . .
 
There is hardly any more cost feeding an extra guinea pig. I doubt you will even notice. It will make Red so happy.
