My guinea pig nibbles hates being picked up!
When i first got her she was fine, sure she run away a little but i could pick her up easily, but now if you try to catch her she sortof bucks, reverses and even if she is inside a hut she will go under the hut to get away from me. Also she has bit me once while i was trying to catch her! She doesnt even like to be held, the only way she will sit still is if i put her in her fleece basket.

Is there a reason she is doing this? It makes me a little sad becuase i like to give my piggies cuddles and my other 4 are fine with it and give me a little nip is they need the loo, but she nips me alot.

Please help!?

If she likes being picked up in a towel or something try that for a few weeks and gives her some fruit she likes aswell as a treat. That's all i can think of. See what other people say aswell :D

We used to have one very stubborn girl, Queen Bee, who would only be lifted out of her cage on the lid of an ice cream tub! I don't know how we thought of trying her with that but it certainly worked and she had the same lid for years and years :D

It sounds like she is just being a pest to me! Check her over to make sure nothing is hurting her - if she has sore skin etc it might make her reluctant to come out. Otherwise it sounds like you have a stubborn piggie on your hands. I have a few of them too - Oscar is especially bad and when he puts his mind to it he can run rings around me!

You need to be really firm with her. I know its hard when they buck away etc but if you can try to lean in and pick her up firmly in one go rather than chasing after her around the cage. Piggies are smarter than we think and if you let her get away with making it hard to catch her she will do it all the more! Hold her in a blanket or towel and offer her little treats. Also try and sit down with her if you can as they often feel more secure that way.

Thanks to everyones posts, they were really helpful!
I think she is being a pest, cos she even does it to the other piggies. Will try those things and she how she goes! She prob like being wrapped in a towel cos the only way she stays still when I'm holding her is in her fleece basket!

I always save my old t towels they are just the right size for my piggys and wrap her quite securly she will then feel quite safe but check she has no sores or pains,
