Do You think that living a Different region makes your Guinea Pig Care different then in another region feel free to chat below

I don't think that it does in the sense that guinea pigs are the same in any region and need the same diet, vet care etc. They all need hay 24/7 and access to water etc. The only difference i can see would be vets. :)

I wouldn't have thought the care would be any different, apart from maybe if you live in either a really hot climate or a really cold climate... I'd imagine it's more to do with vets knowledge, depending on where you go some vets have much better and more up to date knowledge about piggies.

I live in the desert, so I definitely have a hard time growing grass. All outdoor grass in my city has been heavily fertilized and isn't safe for pigs, and organic grass would just shrivel up in the sun. So, I have to grow it indoors in little trays in the window and my piggies don't have the pleasure of roaming around on a grassy lawn like they would if we lived elsewhere. Also, keeping my pigs indoors is the only option because it's too hot to have them in a hutch, but I love having them in my house anyways.

I used to live in the North East of England and moved to the Midlands about 5 years ago.

Almost immediately after moving I noticed a massive difference in water quality. In all the years of living in a soft water area I never once had a bladder sludge issue in a pig.

Now I live in a hard water area I can no longer use tap water.
