I posted in health and illness yesterday as I found one of my pigs had a torn ear. I separated them for the night and most of today. This afternoon I put them both into a pen to see how they got along (I'm not 100% if they had a fight or if it was an accident). They have pretty much kept apart from each other- only going into the house or the hay tray when the other one had left. There were a couple of tense moments when one tried to join the other- noses in the air and someone would leave. Definitely no snuggling but they were just drinking from the same bowl without any problems. Things are definitely a bit different, but so far no rumbling or growling. Is this good news or too early to tell? Should I keep them separated again tonight or just go for it and let them be together?

Having said that they are both in the house together now, both lying down and looking relaxed. Fingers crossed....

I would leave them together, as every time you separate them they have to sort out dominance again.
I would only separate if they are really fighting.

If they are snuggling up together, they have obviously made peace again, but it looks like they had a serious tiff before you separated!
