image.webp I went out to say hi and feed the pigs today and the rain from last night (which I didn't even hear last night) had turned Heisenbergs hutch into a massive slip and slid and he was covered in God know what so had to have a bath
He hates baths and was not happy at all so I decided that this afternoon he should get lots of cuddles and treats image.webpimage.webp image.webpimage.webp

I thought it was but apparently not :/ I think I'm gonna have to do some rearranging in the garage tomorrow to fit his hutch in there because there's no way I can leave him to get soaking every time it rains. I'll just feel so bad because I won't be able to fit the other two hutches in there too but I never have this problem with the other two hutches they always stay dry

what a shame your not nearer as I have an outdoor hutch 6ft by 2 ft and never used you could have. I keep my guinea pigs indoors, and just use outdoor runs in summer so I have no need for the hutch.

Such a shame :c I moved him into the garage for tonight because the weather said that its meant to be quite stormy tonight as I can't leave him outside in a crappy hutch when i know he's just gonna get cold and soaked. The others are okay because they have good hutches his is just too open at the front letting cold air and rain in:(
He's so sweet looking. What's that in his mouth in the first pic?
that's porridge, made with water and not milk. We're using it as he's a bit skinny and be needs to put on weight. When we started him on it I honestly thought we were going to lose him:( his cage mate had unexpectedly died and then he got a respiratory infection and just wasn't acting himself. Within a few days off being on anti biotics and porridge I noticed such a difference in him. I'm so glad and lucky to still have him :)

Try getting some of that plastic runner used to protect carpets. You could put strips over the front of the hutch.so light can get in Then put ordinary waterproof tarpaulin over the the rest of the hutch. With this extreme wet weather we get these days outdoor hutches can easily get overloaded with the rain water.

That's actually a really good idea! Thank you so much

Aww bless him! I'm so pleased the poridge and antibiotics helped. I though he was nibbling on something fluffy in your top or something!
