I've noticed signs that there is something unwanted on my guinea pigs. Mites I would expect. I have seen this before and treated it with ivermectin drops. So I thought, I will order some Xeno and get rid of those horrid things.

Little did I know that Xeno is like hens' teeth right now! Out of stock everywhere, not a pipette to be had from any of the online shops. A slight panic set in, and I emailed our vets, to ask what I should use instead. They have emailed me back to say they actually have a small stock of Xeno 450 and they have prescribed me enough to treat both girls three times. It IS more expensive, buying it through the vets but I don't care atm, I'm just so relieved to have found some!

So look out, you ghastly little parasites, your days are numbered

I wonder what’s happening? There seems to be shortages of human meds too atm

When I had to treat my three with ivermectin for hay lice a while back, I managed to get some Ivermectin with a short shelf life but it was long enough to treat them. They were out of stock everywhere else.

I've been looking for xeno 450 too as mop and wig especially are scratching a lot and I assume it's hay mites again. It seems to be out of stock everywhere online.Ive used it before in the past with good results.Ill have to contact the vets to see if they have any in stock.
