You may remember I rescued this wee man 2 weeks ago - he has scratched himself so very badly. The vet said it was mange mites. The first picture is him on arrival here. The second is a few days later. The rest were taken this afternoon. I am very proud of how he has coped and wanted to share these pics with you all. He will be ready for rehome very soon if anyone is interested in taking him from the forum.

Well done with his treatment.....he looks a picture of health now :smitten:

You should be proud he is a stunning little man ;)

Oh he looks so much better, well done helen :) are you going to keep him or still rehoming? x

I think I will put him up for rehome. I now have to find another pal for Daisy as Tom passed away yesterday and she is wheeking all over the place and looking for him. I have spoken to my mentor Graham (Sokel) who has been a huge help and I think we will get a sow for Daisy so I think little Stig should go to a forever home - preferably with someone here on the Forum - that would be my wish for him.

He did scratch himself quite bad didnt he!? He looks fab and so healthy now though. Well done you! I hope he finds a forever home! :smitten:

It is amazing, how the right treatment, care and love can make so much difference. :smitten:
Well done. O0 O0

He looks great now, well done :smitten: :smitten:

Hope he finds a new home very soon x

No, Pumpkin isn't neutered - Daisy I feel needs a companion now and I could have Pumpkin neutered but it would be 6 weeks before he could be with her so I think a mini sow would be the answer.

I was thinking eventually another Peruvian rescue wife for Pumpkin at a much later date (and once he is castrated).

You have got me thinking now, is Pumpkin neutered - no, I don't think he is. Graham will confirm once he is on.................................... :)

Stig will make a lovely guinea - he is only about 9 weeks old now and so easy to handle - he talks all the time. :smitten:

lol sorry! I just thought he might have been because you said a while ago that you might get him a lady friend, obviously i know now you meant you'd get him neutered yourself :) yes id go with a baby sow for daisy :) good luck x

PIGGIE LIPS ahhhhhhhhhhhh :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Helen here - due to us losing my beloved Tom this week - I have rehomed two baby sows from Graham (Sokel) - Carla and Sophia. Daisy has already bonded with them and Sophia will live with her permanently to help her get over Tom and the other gorgeous girl Carla will live with another Graham rescue Pumpkin (peruvian) once he has had the snip................

Therefore..............................Stig has gone to live with Graham for a wee while to bond with another baby boar and then hopefully to be rehomed. He is a lovely piggy as Graham will testify and I am sure we will some pics of him fairly soon.

Helen and gang.
