He doesn't seem too bad. He's eating which is great. At work today so heading out to buy him a teddybear. He just looks at bit lost x

The pic of Marmalade looking at Freddie above breaks my heart though - you can see the love/protection he had for Freddie in his eyes.

Hence, despite my grief, already trying to think about what's best for Freddie.

Further to your advice in my other thread, I've emailed a few preliminary enquiries to rescue centres about boar dating - just so I'm prepared. Don't want to rush anything, but just want to have options.

As long as Freddie is on no danger of dying from pining (which he isn't), then it is advisable that you take your time to find the optimal solution and sus out the place he has the biggest chances of finding a new friend.

A new mate will never take Marmalade's place and can never take away from you the preciousness that you have shared. Both you and Freddie will treasure what you had with him.
