Remind me about grass

Why exactly can't I pick wet grass for the piggies? Is it todo with pesticides somehow?

As I came back from my run we had a short shower of rain, so can I no longer pick the lightly damp grass?
 
i didn't know you couldn't give wet grass to them. i do it every day at the moment as the rain never seems to stop:{

Perhaps I made that up then! It never made sense to me... Lol

It's barely damp. So I'll get them some and let it dry, just to be safe!
 
it would be interesting to hear off others though to be sure wouldn't it. maybe i'm wrong in what i do - i'm a little confused and concerned now
 
I've never heard anything about it not being safe to pick them wet grass (I've just given my girls a handful). It isnt good to put them out on wet grass though because that will make them wet and could make them cold. Could you be thinking of that?

How odd, I wonder where I've got that from!

Maybe I'm thinking of 'you can't mow grass while it's wet'?!?
