Butters and Carmey live in a large C&C cage in my daughter's room, which we are getting ready to remodel and paint. How long do you think they need to stay out of her room after we paint? After losing Rolo so suddenly last month, I don't want to do ANYTHING to even cause them the slightest discomfort, and I'm concerned that the paint fumes may irritate or harm them. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks! :luv:

If you can paint with open windows and air the room well for a few hours afterwards, ideally on a day with a bit of a breeze, you should be OK. Water soluble paint is not as bad as gloss paint, for which you want to wait longer.

I'd love to have the window open, but it's 116 here so that's not an option! But maybe I will crack the window and turn the A/C way up! Thanks!

Just keep them out of the room until the fumes have gone.
