My 5 year old female is not eating much and she's hiding a lot and really only comes out to drink. I rescued her so I don't know anything about her health.
I am worried that I may have to put her down.
It's hard for me because I don't have the money to take her to the vet right now. I am wondering what I can do at home to help her

Please switch from the routine weekly weight checks and instead weigh her daily. This allows you to more closely monitor hay intake.
Please step in with syringe feeding urgently.
The daily weight checks tell you whether you are syringe feeding her enough to keep her weight stable each day and stop further weight loss.

She will need to be seen by a vet to diagnose her issue and get it treated - it may have a perfectly treatable issue so dont assume she would need to be put to sleep. Syringe feeding will support her and keep her gut functioning but it won’t treat the underlying cause.

The guides below detail syringe feeding further

I hope she is ok
