I have rescued two boars and they came with a two by three c and c cage. Now, I know that, that cage size is way too small for boars especially due to their territorial nature. This summer I want to upgrade their cage. But, I have one obstical, Their cage sits on a shelf in a corner and I can't add any grids since there enclosd in such a space. Me and my mom have ideas whether to make them an outside shed or to try and create a two story cage. Any ideas on how we can make the cage bigger.:help:

maybe if u put a shed u can put fences behind the shed and let them play in the summer

Could you not make a new base for the cage? Many people with C&C cages make bases from the grids like so:

Alternatively, if you have no dogs, cats or small children wondering around, you could always build the cage on the floor. I have my cage on the floor and I've never had any problems with it.

The shelf that they are on is nailed into the walls... But I might have my dad make a 2 by 4 or 2 by 5 shed outside and in the summer thats where my piggies will live. And then in the winter we will probably install a 2 by 1 shelf on top of there c and c so that there cage equals a 2 by 4.

(Also I can't really add c and c across wise due to the cage not having any space. I would send a picture but don't know how...)
