Adult Guinea Pig
It's been another lovely day here and the run hasn't been touched before last Winter so the grass inside was lovely and rich and very long. So I decided to put my trio of rescued girls outside and took these photos.
First is Jasmine, the lovely year old sow who was very underweight. She'd been in handed in at a pet shop because someone had gotten bored of her. I can't see why..she seems to be the perfect guinea pig. She gets along with everyone fabulously. She seemed fascinated with the grass so has obviously never been outside before and seemed to get distracted sniffing the fresh air rather than eating!
Twinkle is the stunning Texel from Donna. She promptly lay herself down on a bed of the thickest grass and settled down to eat. She's quite placid anyway, but is getting even more outgoing the more time I spend with her. She's a lovely sow, a real little diamond, and her two friends absolutely adore her.
Little Skunk is the Peru from Donna that was found wandering around some shops. Donna did wonders with her and I'm trying to do the same. Skunk is having tooth problems at the moment and has the apetite of a gnat..she scarcely eats despite having different things to choose from and plenty of it. She was quite impressed with the grass, which I consider a real triumph! I plan to get her outside whenever the weather is nice enough.
