So, after a course of injections for mites, it seems Maisie's hair loss is exactly the same as it was before we started. The vet doesn't think it's fungal, but that it could be stress related. She's chewed off most of her hair on her back legs, but the skin is fine. Background is she's just over 3 years old, and a rescue - she's been with me for a couple of months now.
I read about the pet version of Rescue Remedy tonight, and wondered if anybody here had used it, and what, if any, were the results? I'm not sure if the stress is because of the new environment she's now in, or whether it's the other piggy she's with, as Maisie's the submissive one. Also not sure if this would help her, as the recommendation is to use it for a week at at time.
I'm hoping it's just the change of home that's doing it and not being with Alice. If it is Alice, then I'm stumped as to what to do about it. Can't be nice for Maisie, feeling so stressed that she's self barbering
. Any advice appreciated, thanks.
