A lady called us wanting to rehome a rabbit or two does anyone have any needing rehoming or know of any local rescues to notts? thanks O0 She is talking about going to a petshop but I'm determind to get her to a rescue! ;D

I doubt a pet shop would take them unless they are babies or they are good enough to breed from. I will have a look and see if I can find any rescues in or around that area. O0

NooOOoO she WANTS a rabbit for herself, she doesnt have any ;D Sorry, i didnt explain that very well ;D

She asked me if i had any needing new homes but we only have piggies and i didnt want her to buy one from the petshop when i know there are a lot of them in rescues! O0

;D Oh sorry that is me not reading it very carefully. I will have a look. :)

Thanks! :D

I thought i may as well ask around rather than her run off to a petshop after work ;D

The third link on cc post no longer runs a rescue. She could also contact rspca on Radford road they have a very small holding for animals

Are you sure the third link are no longer running, as they sill have a website with no mention that the rescue is no longer open? ? And the rescue you mentioned is the second link. O0

Yes 100% they moved house last year and no longer rescue I know the website is still there but NOTHING has been changed on the site for a very long time. House was repossed I believe and animals were abandoned :'( at the same time.

:o Really. That's awful, people abandoning there animals are bad enough but a rescue. :'( :tickedoff:

I just looked on the sister site Rabbit rehome there are four pages with rabbits for Nottinghamshire. All needing homes. Hey Smiler where do you advertise your rescue? Only asking because you sound close by :)and its always nice to be able to point people to rescues instead of petshops ;)

try Jill at honeybunnys, its in Leicester, but she rehomes all over.

We dont advertise at the moment as we are pretty new, I'm working on a website as we speak but so far its just been through word of mouth, which so far has kept us 'in business' ;D ;D

I have just emailed somone called beth that takes the 'overflow' of rabbits from a charity, hopefully she will be able to suggest a bunny :)

The woman wanting the rabbits would be very interested in rabbits that have not had homes for a few months and will take a bonded pair or treo, which is always so nice to hear :smitten:

She sounds like she knows what she is doing, I wish her the best of luck. O0

It would be great if she would consider adopting from Kirkby Pet Welfare- they are so so many bunns waiting for homes :'(

where is that? its a long way away isnt it? I'm trying to make it seem really simple so she doesnt just go to a shop, i dont think shed be willing to drive that far when there are 3 pet shops within a 10 minute walk that all have about 10 bunnies in each :(

Its in Kirkby in Ashfield, north Nottinghamshire. The details are on the first page of this thread.
