Hello everybody,
I am in the process of finding a new piggy to be friends with my 3 females. I am going to look at a rescued neutered boar tomorrow. He has just had his sterilisation op. I am more familiar with rabbits and I know that with a neutered bunny the hormones can continue to circulate for a couple of months. Is it the same with guineas? Would a neutered boar still be able to make one of my sows pregnant for a certain amount of time? I am concerned, as they are all three years old and wouldn't want them to come to any harm, as I have been led to believe that female piggies over the age of 1 year can't give birth without problems. I really don't want lots of extra little piggies to find homes for.
I am also worried about how to introduce a new pig to my lovely girls. Will they be agressive towards him? What is the best way?
I'm sorry if I sound ignorant but I need some help here. Thank you in advance, to anyone who replies.
