Rescues Dont Seem To Respond!

Its proving more difficult to get any one to respond to either my emails or phone calls. All i want is to give piggies a new home! Ive contacted 4 or 5 places and so far have received one reply yet they havent replied to actually answer with a yes or no to start the process of adoption! I can appreciate they are busy but is this normal?

yes its normal. It can take a few weeks at busy times as most rescues are run by volenteers. How long ago did you email the rescues? If your particually worried you can always drop a friendly second email or call... But i would say if its only been a few days wait a few more days before trying again :-)

I am sorry you are having this problem. I adopted from bobtails rescue and they emailed me within a week but I guess all rescues are different.

Most rescues are run by volunteers from their own home and get many, many requests for help as well as people like you wanting to adopt and caring for sick, neglected and scared piggies. This can be very difficult to manage alongside a job and family life so be patient with them, they will respond as most are desperate for adopters!

It's great that you want to choose rescue so don't be disheartened, they are just very busy people! Unfortunately there are always more piggies needing help than there are places to go around so volunteers have to prioritise their time.
