Just so I can be sure I can give him the time he deserves. I intend to get him a wife once his neutering is def working!
I presume you mean Piggy routine.
Veggies in the morning. Water change too.
Quick clean (Poo patrol)
Veggies again in the evening about 7.
Quick clean
1 hour floortime.
Cuddles.
Thats my routine. With baths and nails done at the weekend. That us day to day Piggy life in my house.
I see your in N Ireland, do you know about Assissi? They take in GP's, might be worth contacted them for his friend or for an already bonded pair if you don't have pigs yet. They are just outside Bangor.
Ha! He's coming from Assisi! They have no girls and haven't for ages. The girl was saying that they're like hens teeth! Might have to resort to a breeder for a wifey as I don't want him to have to wait too long.
Assisi, is fab.
Check Gumtree too, you may find a girly.
Didn't think of Gumtree - off ther to look now. Thanks![]()
You might find someone giving up an older girl or girlies!

Assisi is awesome! I'm from Northern Ireland, too, it's so hard trying to find girly rescue pigs, I've been hunting forever! =[
I know! I've called Carryduff USPCA and Coleraine and Bright Eyes in Enniskillen. Might have to resort to a breeder.
When are you getting him now, with any luck before you get him Assisi will get a girl!
Well I can't have him for about 5 weeks or maybe if I promise not to introduce the girl for 6 weeks they might let me have him. Don't know. I'll hold out as long as I can but have found a really nice man who doesn't have many piggies. He doesn't breed very often and any he has he keeps. He wouldn't commit to letting me have one of his piggies until he secretly contacted the person who gave me his number and made sure I was worthy of one of his piggies! I respect that. He called me today and said that I may have one of his Guinea Pigs as I got a good reference as a bunny mummy!p
He says the one he found for me that I could have is long haired, mostly black with a tan strip across her body and a white beard. He says I'll like her as she is a very cuddly piggy! As he is not waiting to sell her to anyone he will keep her until I am ready or not as the case may be! Oh boy - very complicated stuff this Piggy hunting! mallethead
Ah! Welldone, piggy hunting is complicated! Can't wait to see her!
Me neither! The wee rescue is lovely too and a very cuddly, fat little fellow. He has short hair and has, like, dutch rabbit markings but he is tan and white. Big BIG lips! Hope his neutering goes well. I've kinda lost my heart to him already.
Assisi vet is very good at neutering, I'm sure he'll be fine and Ceris is lovely!
Oh she is. She talks to the piggies in a South American accent! Kinda like Speedy Gonzalis!p
How do you know Ceris? And Assisi?
I used to live in Belfast, sadly I had to give a male pig to them which was neutered and rehomed to live with a girly.
I kept in contact with her after I gave him up, to make sure he got a nice home which I'm informed he did.
Thats my conection with Assisi and donating piggy stuff to them.
Oh there you go! Well I'll try to remember to take photos when I go to meet girly!
Are you getting the girly on thursday?
Piggies have very delicate stomachs so yes you do need to ween them off gradually. The same with introducing new veggies do it gradually or you'll get smelly poos and upset tummys! :red
Hi,
Probably not relevant now since you are buying a female on Thursday;
But incase any other NI members are looking for a female rescue, I'm aware that Acorn rescue in Lisburn has a female, though it may be awhile before she is fit to go.
