My Dotty has been to the vets with laboured breathing last week and has a respiratory infection and is on meds. I'm a little concerned with Mavis so she is now booked for Friday. My vet says he has treated so many piggies lately with chest problems, it's becoming quite worrying. My kitchen gets quite cold in the day so I have put an oil filled radiator out there to help with the chill - it's now the warmest place in the house!

Might be worth keeping an eye on all our little piggies

Things to keep an eye out for:

Laboured breathing, weight loss, lethargy, hooting sound, bubbly and rattly sounding chest, not eating, runny nose, sneezing more than normal.

Great for pointing this out. I lost one of my little boys to a severe respiratory infection three years ago and it was quite a shock. Piggies are so good at hiding things it is always good to know what to look out for.

I have just bought an oil fired radiator - Lidl are doing a good onr for £35 - poundstratcher a smaller one at £24.99 and if you have a factory shop (bit like a poundstretcher they are £20 - supposedly one of the most enviromentally friendly heaters you can get.
