  1. I am worried Elvis may have a respiratory tract infection. He has started do a sneezing thing and his breathing is a little raspy. I am going to ring the vets tomorrow but my vet of choice is no longer within travelling distance and I may have to book in him with a vet less familiar with guinapigs. Please can you advise me of the right questions to be asking and what treatments I should be offered. Eg: which antibiotic, dosage, length of course etc. Thank you
 
Travel to a vet is considered okay so if you can get him in with your usual vet then I would. If the vet is experienced they should know what to prescribe. You can also check on the vet locator.

Sorry to hear this. Just make sure you use a piggie savvy vet (as said above). Hope he starts to feel better.
