Junior Guinea Pig
We lost our beloved Guinea Pig, Apple, a few days ago after a prolonged illness. We tried all we could to save her but in the end her little body just had enough.
We adopted Apple (and her sister Peaches) from a friend about three years ago. She was initially nervous, but soon came out of her shell with handling and love. Apple was a very curious piggy who loved to explore (and get into trouble!). Whilst very inquisitive and headstrong, Apple wasn't the most cuddly of piggies - but she loved being close to us and would often lay with us for hours quite content.
When Apple became ill, we saw a different side to her. She became very receptive to cuddles and loved snuggling into her blanket whilst we stroked her. Whilst on two-hour syringe feed, she slept by our feet just to be close, even though her bed was nearby.
Apple was a fighter till the end and didn't give up hope. We love and miss you and know that you will always have a special place in our hearts. Rest in peace our little darling. x
