I lost my beautiful wonderful Chippie today

I posted about his story a month ago, he had cancer and was given 3-6 months to live http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=69669&highlight=send+vibes+for+chippie

I was planning on going home next weekend to spend some time with him but a few hours ago mum called me and said he went downhill and had to be PTS 8... the vet said another tumor had already grown and he was bleeding internally again. I can't believe we only found out a month ago and now he is gone forever. He lived a wonderful life (he was 13) and will never ever be forgotten. The vet got to know him as she peformed the surgery to remove his tumor and mum said she was even crying when she put him to sleep. He has his favourite teddy with him which is going to be cremated with him and we will get his ashes. Rest in peace my beautiful boy, i love you very much :0

I am so sorry about Chippie. There is nothing worse than losing a pet. My dog also died of a tumor a couple of years ago. I know how it feels.
Fill your life with your other pets. Stay happy.

Thank you all for your lovely messages, you've sent me off again :0 (in a good way though). I couldn't go into work today as I just felt too upset this morning and didn't get much sleep working on an elderly care ward i need to be on form the whole time! I'm going to spend lots of time cuddling the pigs today I think, their new hay rack came so i might re-arrange their cage hay loft to keep me busy. Thanks again, it means a lot xx

I had my jack russell Sally for nearly 19 years, they literally become another family member.

Thank you wow 19 is an amazing age! I was so shocked when I found out because I had visions of him living to an amazing old age :0 mum works in the vets and she said she has twenty something year old jack russells! He was really fit and healthy too (well seemed it, obviously he wasn't!) A week before he had his surgery he was running around on the beach for hours, this world can be so unfair!
