Hi all, I know some of you had been following my other thread in the End of Life section which I will paste here:
having a really hard time (4.5yr old w bladder stone) my world...

Last night I had to make a decision that no pet owner wants to make, but I always do right by my pets and put them before myself. Patches had gone to the vet on Monday as I noticed he wasn't himself immediately and long story short, x-rays showed he had a bladder stone and for a few reasons surgery was not an option and there were no guarantees. The vet assured it was not due to his diet as I feed my piggies a proper diet, it was unfortunately bad luck, a card he was dealt that he didn't deserve. 😞 He was put on pain meds & antibiotics to keep him comfy (piggie hospice care); I was monitoring him throughout the day and around the clock, spending as much time with him as I could. Many cuddles, playtime and love. Yesterday he unfortunately was starting to decline, & I didn't want to wait until he was suffering to get him PTS as the bladder stone could do further damage & become fatal. I wanted him to be happy at all times. I know that I had to make the tough decision and I was with him every step of the way. He was put to sleep peacefully, pain-free and I know he was happy from the minute I brought him home in 2022 & the minute he left this world. No greater love than him.

I had to get one of my other piggies, Powder a friend (and he was only 3mos old!) and I saw Patches at the pet store, all alone. Apparently he was alone for a few weeks, nobody would buy him. I couldn't leave him there, so home with me he went!

Well, let me just say once again that Patches LOVED me. He was so attached to me. Like glue, from the start. I was his world. His momma. He was also so very smart. So in tune. Many times he would wait for me in a certain part of his cage until I got home. He LOVED life. He was EVERYTHING. He would make roofs and forts out of hay, he'd put toys under his comfy couch bed to make it higher, he was always so boisterous and busy, and he always loved roaming around and he could even open doors with his body! He was a social butterfly and loved visiting the other piggies outside of their cages, he'd steal their hay from the bars and he'd say hi to everyone. He loved his gf Molly. He was SO special. He was the light in the piggy room. He brought the other piggies and I so much joy.

Patches, I love you forever and always. There's no greater love than you. I'm so happy I was chosen to be your mom & best friend in this lifetime. I miss you so much already, so does Powder and the 7 other piggies in the pig room. You were loved by all. ♥️🌎🩵

There are not enough words in the universe to describe how special you were, and still are, to me.

Rest in peace, Patches.
