My boys have got a wooden square run that they've been living in in the lounge and I want to restain it or something for the summer for when they are able to go out on the lawn when it's warm.

What should I use to restain the wood? I'm not even sure restain is the right word, I'm thinking a wood preservative or something but don't know where to get something animal safe - cause the boys chew the wood!

i have used a hutch stain i got from pets at home which is pet safe. Its in a tin with a white label and green writing and just called hutch stain, i think.

I used cuprinol garden shades which is animal friendly preserve got in wilkos. It comes in lovely colours too.

Wilko do their own range of garden shades and they are animal friendly :)) Much cheaper than the curpinol range and just as good.
